More students from Arts background at IIM-A`s MBA programme this year

THE Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIM-A) this year saw a rise in students from Arts background joining MBA programme as compared to last three years. While the percentage of students with an Arts background who joined MBA programme was 3 per cent in 2018 and 2019, it increased to 5 per cent this year. However, there is a decline in the percentage of students with a Commerce degree. While it was 23 per cent in 2018, 21 per cent in 2019, it declined further to 18 per cent this year. Similarly, students from science background too remain only 1 per cent this year. It was 7 per cent in 2018 and 2 per cent in 2019.
